Latitude is one of the main factors affecting temperature. Latitude is the measurement of the distance of a location on the Earth from the equator. The further away from the equator the location, the less sunlight that this location receives. By observing a Latitude vs. Temperature Plot, we can say that near the equator, (between 0 Deg. to 20 Degs.) temperature is significantly warmer and it proves the theory that near the equator the sun’s rays are more direct and therefore it’s warmer.
